Lakshmi Bhandar scheme overview

In an official meeting with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced this scheme. “Lakshmi Bhandar” Scheme will provide special benefit to needy women of West Bengal. This scheme will provide benefit nearly 1.6 crore female heads. They will receive grant amount under this scheme in each month. Applicant will get Rs. 500 in their account as financial support to manage their daily expanse. Women from Schedule cast and scheduled Tripe will get Rs. 1000 each month, means Rs.1200 will be credited in their account each year. General cast and OBC applicant will receive Rs. 500 each month, that means their account will be credited Rs. 6000 each year under this scheme. Beneficiary of this scheme now can manage 10% to 20% of their monthly expenditure from this grant amount. Government will transfer money directly in beneficiaries account.

West Bengal government will provide Rs 12900 crore fund each year to run this project., “Trinamool Congress” was declare this in election manifesto as Rs. 500 scheme.

Lakshmi Bhander Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• Resident of West Bengal
• Only women’s are eligible to apply this form.
• General, OBC, SC, ST can apply under this scheme.
• Families under tax-paying cannot apply under this scheme.
• For general more than 2 hectares of land cannot apply.
